As an entrepreneur myself, I was delighted to join DemGen over 4 years ago. It was delightful to join a virtual team of happy people, all working in their unique abilities with a similar entrepreneurial spirit to my own. Working a team of fellow entrepreneurs gives us intimate knowledge of the support businesses require to succeed.
When did you get an idea to launch your own business website and how important is it for you be online?
The DemGen website was launched along with the company in 2005. Being a virtual team that collaborates with clients through out North America, it was essential for us to have an online presence to reach, educate and inform our prospect to build trust and relationships.
Did you have someone help you make the website or did you do it by yourself?
With our focus on working within our unique abilities, we delegate tasks to the member on our team who is most proficient.
(In case it is your online business) The right domain name is important. How long did it take you to come up with the domain name for your website?
DemGen stands for Demand Generation and Demonstrating Genius. Although our business has evolved and grown since the company was founded in 2005, the essence remains the same. We now provide a long list of support services, but our intention is still to grow our clients’ businesses through demand generation.
What CMS (Content Management System) do you use on your blog?
We use a combination of WordPress and Infusionsoft for our blog.
How important is your blog section and how much time do you spend blogging?
Our blog is crucial for bringing traffic to our website and keeping our tribe informed. Providing valuable information for businesses and entrepreneurs helps us to build relationships and stay top of mind with our clients and prospects.
Our team time spent on blogging can vary. We typically post at least 2-5 times weekly. Overall, our goal is to provide content that is relevant to our readers, as opposed to just blogging to stay on a schedule.
How do you promote your website? Do you use social media channels to attract more clients?
We promote our website and blog via all pertinent social media channels both through our company and personal accounts. We have also had success using sponsored posts on social media. Often we will incorporate our clients stories, which will also lead to them sharing.
Would you encourage other people to make websites for their own for businesses?
Absolutely! In today’s day and age it is essential to have an online presence for your business. Prospects will do their research before purchasing. Websites are a necessity for being found and making the sale.
