Sometimes, mapping things can be helpful. In this case, you might want to map all Pokemon you have found so far so that you can help your friends in their future adventures. Since we’re all about WordPress, we have found an easy and fun way of putting all your Pokemon on the map. Of course, we’re talking about a plugin. So, if you’re ready to show of the last locations where you successfully caught your Pokemon, Google Maps Widget PRO premium plugin is here to help.
Create a map with your Pokemon Go
We already showed you what you can do with Google Maps Widget PRO. But today, let’s see how to create a map and pinpoint each and every Pokemon on it.
In order to create this map, we assume that you’re already running a WordPress website. Without it, you won’t be able to install the plugin. If you do have a WordPress website and you’re ready to pinpoint your first Pokemon, you have to follow these several steps:
- Install and activate Google Maps Widget
- Navigate to Appearance -> Widgets
- Drag a “Google Maps Widget PRO” widget to a sidebar
- Open “pins” tab
- Start adding locations
Now that you have prepared the plugin, make sure that you have your locations ready. You will need an addresses or coordinations of your locations so that you can precisley pinpoint your Pokemon. Let’s continue.
Each pin will represent your Pokemon. You can choose different images for each Pokemon and you can also use description box which can be open on a click. By doing this, you can easily write a short description next to each Pokemon and write details about it. In this description box, you can add a screenshot from your smartphone (image above) to actually prove that you saw that Pokemon on the location.
After you’ve added the locations, don’t forget to customize both the thumbnail and the interactive map. You can change the map size, its colors, modes and different other features. Also don’t forget to share the map with your friends and other fellow citizens who play Pokemon Go.
