While many of you won’t even notice the logo and will wonder why would you want to change or remove one, those of you who are working on a project for a client might want to remove the branding and give their clients a more personalized product.

Without any further ado, these three steps will help you in removing the logo:

  1. Open your functions.php file
  2. Copy and paste the following function:
  3. function annointed_admin_bar_remove() {
    global $wp_admin_bar;
    $wp_admin_bar->remove_menu('wp-logo');
    }
    add_action('wp_before_admin_bar_render', 'annointed_admin_bar_remove', 0);
  4. Save changes and take a look at your admin bar where you shouldn’t see a WP logo anymore
