My WordPress account hadn\u2019t been created, and an error showed up, urging me to contact support via phone. Your work will be kept saved, so you can simply continue to work on your site as if nothing changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"reliability-and-uptime\">GoDaddy reliability and uptime<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>GoDaddy promises 99.9% uptime for all of its hosting plans. This is not anything new, and it\u2019s become a standard for most modern hosting companies. If the company fails to provide the promised uptime, you are eligible for a 5% return.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, do note that in order to apply for getting 5% of your money back, you have to contact support first. Nothing happens automatically.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, it is important to know that even if you do manage to get 5% back, those funds will be stored on the account, and you can only use them to purchase more products and services from GoDaddy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To test the uptime, I ran a free uptime test with <a href=\"https:\/\/uptimerobot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UptimeRobot<\/a>. Just like with other companies we have checked, I selected London, New York, and Mumbai. For example, the same test I performed for <a href=\"https:\/\/firstsiteguide.com\/dreamhost-review\/\">DreamHost<\/a> averaged 1.8 seconds, and the one on <a href=\"https:\/\/firstsiteguide.com\/bluehost-review\/\">Bluehost<\/a> was 1.7 seconds. This means that GoDaddy is more than 3 times faster than their competitors, which is astonishing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The best result came from the New York server which took only 179 milliseconds to respond, while the slowest one was from Mumbai and that was close to one second. These tests prove that GoDaddy\u2019s servers are extremely fast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">GoDaddy server response time<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After testing the server performance from three locations at Dotcom tools, it was time to give it another nudge. A free test at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bitcatcha.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bitcatcha<\/a> allows everyone to ping their websites (servers) from ten different locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Let\u2019s see how my test website behaved on GoDaddy\u2019s hosting.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1010\" height=\"775\" src=\"https:\/\/firstsiteguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/godaddy-server-response.jpg\" alt=\"godaddy server response \" class=\"wp-image-9274\" srcset=\"https:\/\/firstsiteguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/godaddy-server-response.jpg 1010w, https:\/\/firstsiteguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/godaddy-server-response-300x230.jpg 300w, https:\/\/firstsiteguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/godaddy-server-response-768x589.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1010px) 100vw, 1010px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>This test returned the perfect grade, and all assessments were green (meaning they performed well). The worst result came from Mumbai\u2019s server that took 268ms to respond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"support\">Knowledge base and support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The help center is well-organized and easy to use. GoDaddy is well known for having phone support, but 24\/7 chat is available as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you choose live chat, you will be greeted by a bot that will ask a couple of questions in order to connect you to the right agent. Unfortunately, instead of getting instant help, I was queued and had to wait for the first available agent that was supposed to help in just one minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I decided to contact support on several other occasions, and I can say only good things about the agents. Most of the times I opened the chat, it took only about one minute to get to talk to the agent. I had a chance to talk with several different agents, and they were all polite and professional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On one occasion, I actually needed help with configuring the DNS settings for my domain. The agent was extremely polite and helpful and managed to help me get the correct name servers, IP addresses, and other details.
